Ridge is the number one waffler on The Bold and the Beautiful. For years, he’s been bouncing back and forth between Brooke and Taylor, leaving broken hearts in his wake. Ridge’s waffling has not only bothered fans but also actor Matthew Atkinson.
Ridge Is The Problem
Ever since Thomas (Atkinson) returned, he’s been focused on Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) love life. Ridge’s never-ending love triangle with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) has frustrated Thomas. He wasn’t afraid to call out his father’s treatment of both women. Yet, Thomas’ words didn’t register for Ridge since he left Taylor to be with Brooke again.
While B&B fans are upset with Ridge’s constant waffling, Atkinson is finding humor in it. In a recent Instagram story, the actor posted a clip of a Thomas and Ridge confrontation. He captioned the clip with, “When you call someone out for acting like women are t shirts that can be swapped daily, and they try to pretend YOU are the problem.”
Viewers applauded Thomas confronting his dad about his waffling. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by Thomas’ erratic behavior after his parents’ broken engagement. Tensions arose during a showdown with Brooke and Ridge, which ended on a positive note with Thomas accepting Brooke.
With Ridge back with his Logan, it appears his waffling has ended…for now. But with Taylor about to get a new love interest, Ridge could get hit with the green-eyed monster. Seeing this, Thomas might try to put an end to his father’s waffling behavior.
After all, Ridge made his decision to leave a heartbroken Taylor for Brooke. Now, Taylor’s made a decision, too. She’s no longer going to be Ridge’s second choice; she wants to move on and find real love. Will another Thomas/Ridge clash be in their future?
