Though she hasn’t appeared on a soap opera in quite a long time, actress Lesli Kay is still very much a fan favorite. And she’s currently celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Lesli Kay!
That’s because she was born on June 13, 1965, in Charleston, West Virginia, which means that this beloved veteran of the soap opera genre is turning 58 years old today! Kay’s earliest acting credits include guest stints on Hunter, Counterstrike, and Nowhere Man.
Subsequently, she appeared in Hotline, Hightide, The Big Easy, and Women: Stories of Passion. In 1997, Kay joined the cast of CBS’ As the World Turns. For the next seven years, she would gain a loyal fan base for her work as Molly Conlan, a manipulative criminal turned heroine. Her efforts also netted her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2001.
In the Spring of 2004, Kay was hired by the producers of General Hospital to assume the role of Lois Cerullo — effectively replacing the character’s former and current portrayer Rena Sofer. Her debut first aired on June 1 of that year, and she remained on the soap until March 14, 2005.
Between November 30, 2005, and August 2014, Kay was seen as Felicia Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. Originally hired to play out a fatal cancer storyline, Kay so impressed the show’s head writer, Bradley Bell, that she was retained for longer than expected. She returned to the soap in 2016 for two special guest appearances.
Kay’s other acting credits include guest appearances on Law & Order, CSI: NY, Ghost Whisperer, and Raising the Bar, as well as roles in Venice: The Series and The Bay. She also had lead roles in three Lifetime original films — The Good Mother, The Wrong Crush, and The Wrong Cheerleader.
Kay also took Felicia Forrester to B&B’s sister series, The Young and the Restless, and simultaneously reprised ATWT’s Molly between 2009 and 2010. Soap Hub would like to wish Lesli Kay a very happy birthday and many more.
