Kimberlin Brown returned to The Bold and the Beautiful and has made quite a splash that has had fans celebrating. And Brown herself has a very special milestone to celebrate.
Happy Birthday, Kimberlin Brown!
That’s because she was born on June 29, 1961, in Hayward, California, which means that this talented soap hopper is turning 63 years old today! Brown began her career as a model before making the move to Los Angeles.
She made her acting debut in an episode of Fantasy Island — which was followed up with an appearance in TJ Hooker — and she made her film debut in the 1986 comedy Back to School. Throughout the late 1980s and very early 1990s, Brown had small roles in a number of films — including Eye of the Tiger, Who’s That Girl, and 18 Again! In 1987, she appeared in her first daytime soap opera, Capitol.
On that CBS serial, she played Danny. Afterward, she joined the cast of Santa Barbara. On May 16, 1990, Brown made her first appearance on Young and the Restless. The role of Sheila Carter was initially short-term — no more than a spoiler for the Lauren Fenmore/Scott Grainger romance.
However, Brown’s acting ability so impressed the soap’s head writer, William J. Bell, that she quickly found herself signed to a contract. When Sheila’s villainy finally reached its peak, she was merely written off of Y&R and transferred over to sister series The Bold and the Beautiful.
Brown continued to air on B&B until 1998, at which point the character finally was written out. But she did return for a whole host of reprisals — including a stretch from 2002 to 2003 and one between 2017 and 2018. Brown also returned the character to Y&R for a storyline that aired between 2005 and 2006.
Brown was also a cast member on Port Charles (where she played Dr. Rachel Locke), One Life to Live (as Dr. Paige Miller), and All My Children (as Judge Mariam).
