Finn is acting like he’s a private eye and not the doctor that he is. He has already pieced together that his wife is missing. Now, in order to find her, he must connect the dots regarding his cousin. In the September 3 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Finn gets closer and closer to learning where Steffy is.
Dr. John Finnegan, Private Investigator
While Chief Baker (Dan Martin) probably continues to process what Luna admitted about Poppy (Romy Park), Finn (Tanner Novlan) is doing the work needed to find his wife. He is currently relentless in his search for the truth and his wife. And we don’t think anything is about to stop him.
Luna’s history has been all over the place since she first arrived as an intern at Forrester Creations. But now, the show finally decided on a few focused things: that her childhood with Poppy was a mess and, ultimately, traumatic. Her father isn’t Bill (Don Diamont), after all. And Luna (Lisa Yamada) is now a golddigger obsessed with Bill, who, apparently, isn’t beyond murder, drugging, and kidnapping. It’s easy to see why RJ (Joshua Hoffman) is now confused as hell.
Finn knows what exactly is going on. He’s on a mission to find his wife. He’s going around Dragnet-style, asking for the facts and explaining to Li (Naomi Matsuda) why their family relative is acting cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. Li assured her son that Poppy could never murder anybody. RJ let Finn know that Luna left him the night of the double murder, so he can’t provide an alibi for his girlfriend or whatever they are now….past acquaintances?
Of course, the good doctor also has the phone he found when he visited Bill at his mansion. All of these pieces are adding up. Finn also mentioned Poppy and Luna’s still furnished apartment. The man is methodically going through the steps the cops should be taking. But that’s okay. Finn needs this. He needs to save his wife after botching so many things, such as his behavior with both Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Hope (Annika Noelle).
Do we have to endure Finn checking with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)? We know that — off-screen — he has talked to Taylor (Rebecca Budig). Finn must race to the apartment before it’s demolished with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) inside. Unsurprisingly, Steffy’s not doing too well. She refuses to eat or drink anything for fear of Luna drugging her again. She attempted to appeal to Luna’s sweet and innocent side. But that was an epic fail. She just needs to be patient because Finn and, from what the teasers are suggesting, Li is on the way.
What do you think of Finn’s mission? Have the writers justified Luna’s lunatic transition? Would you like to know more about her background? Let us know in the comments!
