Is The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sean Kanan Teasing a Location Shoot or Just Joking?

The Bold and the Beautiful is known for its location shooting, especially with stories taking place in Monaco and Italy. While the show films its studio scenes on Stage 31 at Los Angeles’ CBS Television City, they clearly films its exterior establishing shots around the city. The house used for Eric Forrester’s mansion was the home of show creators William J. and Lee Bell. Cast member Sean Kanan recently posted a photo that could possibly be a new exterior location.

Is It Real or Pretend?

On X, formerly Twitter, Sean Kanan (Deacon) shared a photo of himself in front of a lavish mansion with the caption, “My office this week.” The house appears to be one that was on sale in 2020 for $38.9 million, and is considered one of Pasadena, California’s most expensive real estate listings. He could have driven by and stopped for a quick selfie to joke that he would be having an office in the estate. Or, the show could be using that as a new exterior shot for one of the characters’ homes. While one fan joked that he was at the White House, another posted, “Bill Spencer mansion.” A fan who lives in the neighborhood chimed in with, “I live about a 15 minute walk from that house. I won’t give away your location away Sean – but have fun there. It’s a beautiful neighborhood to work in.”

A Pretty Big Pad

While one of Kanan’s followers remarked, “At first glance I thought damn, is he at $Bill ‘s house?! Nice digs!!” Another asked, “Now why would Deacon be at Bill’s place I wonder? I think B&B are filming Christmas scenes at the moment 🧐.” The house definitely looks like it could be used in a Hallmark Christmas film, but we haven’t heard any rumors of Bill moving to a larger pad. 

“Did Monica leave you the mansion? 😏😁#AJlives #GH,” asked a fan who fondly remembered that Kanan played AJ on General Hospital, and Monica (Leslie Charleson) was his mother. That comment was also a wonderful GH in-joke where everyone has to mention that Alan (Stuart Damon) gave Monica the mansion.
