Bold and the Beautiful’s Romy Park Teams Up With White Collar’s Tim Dekay

Although not appearing in a TV show together, old friends Romy Park and Tim Dekay made a unique video for social media. There, they cross-promoted each other’s shows, The Bold and the Beautiful, and White Collar. 

Shameless Self-Promotion

On June 25, B&B’s Romy Park, who plays Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa, shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “When TV’s Primetime and Daytime meet up, you get shameless promotion for each other b/c that is what friends do ☺. ️Tim Dekay is the friend I’ve known longest in LA and one of my favorite people in the world. @officialwhitecollar streaming on @netflix #whitecollar. Also catch Tim in @oppenheimermovie ⭐️#friends #friendship @boldandbeautifulcbs is on cbs and streaming on @paramountplus.”

In the video are her and Dekay. She starts with, “Hi, it’s Romy Park and…” he continues with, “…Tim Dekay.” She goes on to say, “And please go and watch White Collar, which is streaming on Netflix,” while Dekay chimed in with, “And watch Bold and the Beautiful on CBS.” Clearly, White Collar has been picked up by Netflix, airing reruns. Actor Spencer Garrett (Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood) responded, “Love you both!!!!❤️,” with Park replying to him, “@spencergarrett1 love you too and miss you! 😘.”

Dekay’s Numerous Projects

In July 2019, Dekay appeared on Romy and Dan’s High School Reunion Podcast, hosted by Park and a pre-Days of Our Lives Daniel Feuerriegel (EJ), and discussed his career. He noted that he and his wife had moved to Los Angeles in 1995, and he got a short part on All My Children (although it’s not listed on his IMDb page), characterizing his performance as “horrendous.” Since then, he’s been in nearly 100 film and television productions, including 24 episodes of the series Carnivale, and 81 episodes of White Collar between 2009 and 2014, for which he is most well-known. Park has appeared on shows suchas Ghost Whisperer, Eleventh Hour, and The Rookie: Feds, and has surprised us with her ballet and opera singing skills, which we didn’t know she could do until recently. Who knows, maybe Dekay will appear on B&B, and the two friends can become scene partners!
