During the Thursday, April 18 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, it was clear that certain characters had needs. For example, RJ needed Zende and Poppy gone while he needed time from Luna. Meanwhile, Lauren needed Deacon to understand Sheila was dead. Unfortunately, for her, Deacon needed answers specifically to a very important question.
Needing Time and Space
After discovering the truth, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) listened to Zende (Delon de Metz) and Poppy (Romy Park) plead their case for forgiving Luna (Lisa Yamada). While Luna’s keeping the lies from him and the thought of her sleeping with Zende hurt him, he saved his anger for Zende and Poppy. (Here’s who Soap Hub thinks might get nominated for a Daytime Emmy tomorrow).
In fact, he got Zende to admit that no matter what went down that night with the mints or thinking that Luna chose him, sleeping with his girlfriend at all was wrong. Later, he admitted that he didn’t even care about Zende and that he was all about Luna. He also admitted that he was going to need time to process this.
Needing to Be on the Same Page
As for Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who celebrated a birthday this week), they looked stronger than ever, although some cracks could be exposed in the future. They were lovey-dovey even while discussing Deacon’s fascination with Sheila’s ten toes.
They’ve needed to be on the same page for a while now. And from the looks of it, they also need the outside world to leave them alone. So they can properly reconnect and be the family that they are.
Needing Deacon to Understand
Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) air travel must have happened at record speed. One minute she helped Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) deal with Newman Media and her alcoholism in Genoa City. The next minute, she was back in Los Angeles celebrating Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) demise.
She also visited Il Giardino, where she confronted former Genoa City resident Deacon (Sean Kanan). She knew he was one of the only people in the world wishing Sheila was still alive. That didn’t stop her from trying to make Deacon understand what kind of monster Sheila was. (Look for Lauren to spill Sheila’s secrets tomorrow)
I don’t know how or why you fell for her. But there is one thing that I know for sure. You’re life is better, safer and healthier without her in it.
Unfortunately, Deacon wasn’t phased a bit. He sees Lauren as just another person thrilled that Sheila’s dead.
Needing Answers
Meanwhile, Deacon needed answers from Lauren. He suggested that Sheila was alive. Like Steffy and Finn, Lauren Fenmore thought that notion ridiculous. Steffy killed her and stabbed her in her heart, that’s what she heard. Lauren told Deacon he needed to be thankful he had never seen Sheila the monster, the one that caused her decades of torment.
And before Lauren could leave Il Giardino, Deacon asked her, “Does the name Sugar mean anything to you?” Lauren couldn’t help but abruptly turn around. Hearing that name shook her. He needed to know if she knew anything about the name Sugar.
