In the Tuesday, July 2 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, viewers discovered Tom’s fate. The has-been rocker turned unhoused officiant/Il Giardino busboy died. Finn brought the news to Deacon and Hollis. Meanwhile, Luna basked in the glow of being 100% sure her bio dad was Bill Spencer. Plus, Poppy felt emotionally triggered all episode long.
Recap Photo Gallery Finn (Tanner Novlan) dropped by Il Giardino when Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) wasn’t there to bring Deacon (Sean Kanan — who recently posted a throwback pic with Steve Burton ) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) bad news: Tom (Clint Howard) died. At Forrester Creations, Zende (Delon de Metz) and Luna (Lisa Yamada) discussed her being Bill’s daughter (unless there’s a big twist nobody will see coming ). Finally, Bill (Don Diamont) walked in on an emotional Poppy (Romy Park). (Check out B&B spoilers for Wednesday’s episode )
Finn arrived at Il Giardino where he revealed to Deacon and Hollis that Tom died of a drug overdose. Deacon was incredulous. He knows Tom was in the midst of getting his second chance at life. He got the job at Il Giardino. He was kickstarting his music career. He and Hollis wondered how this could have happened? Wise Dr. Finnegan tried to explain the evils of addiction. He then reaffirmed the fact that he couldn’t have anything to do with Sheila. Clearly, he knew he had to get out of Il Giardino quickly before his bio mom returned. He’s abiding by his wife’s declarations. At Forrester, Zende walked in casually even though we haven’t seen him in weeks. And his conversation with Luna about her being Bill’s daughter was pretty uneventful as well. In fact, there was no mention of the awful night the two spent together. Guess the show, the characters, and the viewers are moving past it? Meanwhile, Luna is beyond happy that her life has changed so much in the last few weeks. She has a new life with Poppy and Bill. And she’s ecstatic that her father is alive and well. And not dead from an apparent drug overdose. Poppy is reflective and emotional about Tom, but when Bill walks in and asks her why she’s feeling what she’s feeling, she says she’s overwhelmed. Yes, Poppy is overwhelmed by her and Luna’s new life and that’s what she’s getting used to. She loves being with Bill but it’s like the life she used to lead died. Hence, the tears. Bill and Poppy share a little love in the afternoon. Afterwards, they continue talking. They find out that the Il Giardino busboy that “accidentally” spilled water on them died of a drug overdose during his Il Giardino set. The camera rests on Poppy’s face. She looks at the phone and Tom story’s and she reacts with emotion and pain. Does that mean she’s not the one to drug Tom’s iced blue sports drink?
