Currently, Taylor’s heart failure is causing major drama on The Bold and the Beautiful. But let your memory banks go way back to the beginning of last month. That’s when Luna’s lunatic era ended, but not without Lisa Yamada continuing to string together a series of wonderful performances.
There’s a reason why soap viewers chose Lisa Yamada as Soap Hub‘s B&B Performer of the Month for two months in a row — August and September. Because she played a character who transitioned from a sweet and innocent intern to an ambitious gold-digging double murderer, and she made it look seamless.
Plus, she took Luna from a two-dimensional character to one that had an abundance of depth. As we heard about her troubled childhood, we understood why her character broke bad and became this twisted version of that perfectly lovely girl.

Yamada had us wishing that Luna would stick around and become a Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)-level villain who would return to cause chaos and destruction over and over again. And who knows, that could still happen. Luna is simply in jail, right?
In September, Luna revealed that she had basically set up Zende (Delon de Metz). She also came up short on her attempt to kill a caged Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Ultimately, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Li (Naomi Matsuda) saved Steffy and took Luna down, respectively. As a result, the police arrested Luna, and her lunacy ended.

The character didn’t get much of an epilogue, but the actress did get to play a scene with Poppy (Romy Park) in the interrogation room. Mind you, this is the mom that she framed for the double murder. Yamada simply sold Luna’s brokenness. We are her fans for life.
