The Bold and the Beautiful Performer of the Month for January 2025: Katherine Kelly Lang

January on Bold and the Beautiful was a month that branched out from Hope and Carter’s coup of Forrester Creations. The corporate drama was still a top priority. But there was also a sinister stalker. Bill somehow managed to spring Luna from prison so she could serve her prison sentence in his mansion. Then, there was the matter of identifying Luna’s father. But fans ultimately felt for the woman who lost her destiny.

The Nominees

Lisa Yamada had us guessing about Luna’s intentions. Now that she’s out of prison and living in luxury (with an ankle monitor) at Bill’s mansion, Luna said all the right things. But can we believe her? That’s Yamada’s superpower. Much of the time, she makes Luna seem so very sincere with every word that she says. With all the talk about her childhood, it seemed like she was doing the work. But then one look or smirk and we’re confused all over again.

Meanwhile, Don Diamont has continued giving his character layers. He’s not the same Bill Spencer. He’s more introverted, and with Luna around, he’s now more of a hermit. However, how the character connects with Luna grows more understandable with each conversation about their similar upbringings. Even though neither of them is a therapist, they share their thoughts and feelings. Diamont is bringing the drama, and we love that for him.

Naomi Matsuda closed in on the runner-up position, getting over 30 percent of the vote. Dr. Li Finnegan gave us a bit of whiplash. Suddenly, her character returned to the hardcore attitude she only saves for Poppy (Romy Park). But when Li performed an ambush paternity test and realized that she was wrong about Jack (Ted King) and Poppy having an affair, she was immediately apologetic and guilty. She let go of her anger. And Matsuda seamlessly made that transition.

The Top Spot

For the second month in a row, Katherine Kelly Lang earned Performance of the Month honors with almost 45% of the vote. What put her over the top? Was it the fact that Brooke Logan slapped Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and shoved Taylor (Rebecca Budig) to the side? Lang tapped into her defiant and angry side during that loaded conversation with Ridge.

Brooke told Ridge that she’s nobody’s victim, and for the moment, Lang made us feel like Brooke could really see Ridge for who he was. Yes, he read her coup actions differently than she had intended. But he jumped straight back into a relationship with Taylor after the breakup. And that hurt. That did damage. Lang did a great job in January 2025, especially that slap and shove.
