One Huge Sign That Hope Isn’t Committed to Carter On Bold and the Beautiful

Hope and Carter have become the next great love story on The Bold and the Beautiful. Or so it would seem. After kissing Thomas while married to Liam, she got divorced and started a fling with her erstwhile suitor. But Thomas proposed a couple of times and she wasn’t ready to get married again, so he took off for Europe. Then she developed a crush on Steffy’s husband Finn, and thoroughly embarrassed herself when she kissed him. Now she’s suddenly in love with Carter and he feels the same. But is she really going to commit to him?

The Fans Don’t Miss a Trick

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) has had several failed relationships over the years, but he currently seems to care genuinely for Hope (Annika Noelle). But even though Hope turned down Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and has professed her affection for Carter, an eagle-eyed fan noticed something that says otherwise.

On X (formerly Twitter), a soap opera fan group shared a clip of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) accusing Hope of poisoning Carter’s mind and turning him against the Forresters. They captioned it, “Hope still wearing the engagement ring 💍 Thomas gave her around her neck while professing her love to Carter.” Hmmm…

The Things We Do for Love

Many fans have speculated that Hope is simply using Carter because he’s so into her and would do anything for her, even staging a major coup against Forrester Creations. The extremely principled and honest Carter has made a calculated move that’s destroyed his friendship with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and possibly ruined his career for love. But Hope still wearing Thomas’ engagement ring on a necklace illustrates that she’s not ready to let that part of her life go.

Let’s face it, Hope’s got nothing to lose by siding with Carter, considering she’s out of a job. He’s like the knight in shining armor who’s going to take over Forrester and not only rehire her, but bring back her Hope for the Future line. So it’s a win-win for Hope while Carter beats himself up over trashing the best friendship he’s ever had. Sure, she’ll be there to console him, but if Thomas ever returns, the ring she’s wearing around her neck indicates she’ll go running back to him leaving Carter in the dust.
