Music and Manipulations on the June 28 Bold and the Beautiful

Those music festival days were something, huh? After Bill announced he was ready to adopt Luna and officially make her a Spencer, Poppy hightailed it out of there. She headed straight to Il Giardino, the only restaurant in Los Angeles that matters. Poppy confronted Tom and told him to stay away from his daughter, he dropped the big news.

Tom is Luna’s Father!

When Poppy (Romy Park) suddenly wanted to prove that Bill (Don Diamont) was Luna’s father, we knew it couldn’t be that easy, right? Before that, she didn’t want Luna (Lisa Yamada) to know anything about her biological dad. She was so adamant she kept a lid on the truth for Luna’s entire life.

Bill made this big announcement that he wanted to make it official. He wanted to make Luna a Spencer. So he talked about adopting her and joked that she always had a place at his company should she get sick of making dresses. (Find out who’s headed to B&B later this summer)

Meanwhile, Poppy let Bill and Luna spend quality time together and raced over to Il Giardino. There, she cornered Tom (Clint Howard) and told him to stay away from her daughter. To which he responded:

Our daughter. We both know the truth. Luna’s mine. I’m Luna’s father!

There you go. Further evidence that Li (Naomi Matsuda) was on the right track with Poppy. But this begs the question…how did Poppy rig the paternity test? Is Li in on this trap Bill scheme? She brought her own paternity test to Dollar Bill’s mansion. Or so we thought. And Li looked perplexed when she realized the results showed Bill was Luna’s dad. What’s going on here? At this point, we’re even wondering if that initial meeting at Il Giardino was a fluke or a carefully designed plan.

Was Young Poppy a full-on music groupie? Were music festivals the place where she targeted rich individuals, rock stars, and musicians? And why has she targeted Bill 20 years later? Yes, he has money, a yacht, a helicopter, and is a bazillionaire. But why now?

Tom certainly has none of that. Until recently, he was unhoused. It’s easy to see why Poppy’s beyond excited that her life has changed. She and Luna are currently living in a mansion in the style Poppy wanted to become accustomed to a long time ago. (Find out Soap Hub’s Theory on Paris and Thomas here)
