One of the longest-running casting stories on Bold and the Beautiful is finally coming to fruition. Entertainment legend Marie Osmond is coming to the half-hour soap for a guest gig. Two fan favorites from Young and the Restless are coming to B&B, too.
People broke the news that Osmond is going to appear on B&B on the Friday, October 27 episode. She’ll be playing Countess Von Frankfurt, a wealthy woman who will bring “excitement in the air” when she shows up to see the fashion collections of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric (John McCook). Osmond’s guest gig ties in with the fashion showdown that Ridge and Eric are currently planning.
A Forrester fashion show wouldn’t be complete without Lauren Fenmore, played by Tracey Bregman. The Y&R star has been crossing over to B&B since 1992. Her appearance and dream confrontation with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) propelled the half-hour soap to the No. 2 spot. Lauren’s not coming alone. Kate Linder (Esther) is making her B&B debut as the former maid will be attending the gala as Lauren’s guest. Esther’s dream is to own a Forrester Creations original, something that she should be able to afford given that she was named in the late Katherine Chancellor’s will.
Osmond has been rumored to be doing this B&B guest spot since 2011. She’s real-life pals with Adam Gregory (ex-Thomas), and there was buzz that their connection would result in Osmond popping up on the show. Until now, the deal never came together. After Gregory left the role, Pierson Fodé assumed the role of Thomas. Currently, Matthew Atkinson plays the part.
