Lisa Yamada plays a lot of drama on Bold and the Beautiful as heroine Luna. Soap Hub caught up with the actress on the red carpet at the Daytime Emmys on Friday where we found out she also has a wry sense of humor when she talked to us about being a Spencer.
It’s A Girl
“There are so many benefits,” Moody responded to our question about how it feels to be Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) daughter. “Obviously, the last name — Spencer — the yachts, the estates, everything!”
On a more serious note, the actress is well aware that Luna isn’t just any long-lost child entering the media mogul’s world. “It’s been amazing to work with Don because I get to bring out the softer side of him [on-screen]. Bill is a bit of a womanizer. He’s only ever had sons before. So, it’s nice to share that bond with him.”
Soap Hub discussed with Diamont this paternity plot-twist, addressing the possibility that this will place him in Brooke’s orbit as his new daughter is dating Brooke’s son RJ (Joshua Hoffman). There’s also the fact that Li (Naomi Matsuda), Luna’s aunt, was developing feelings for Bill after he saved her from a near fatal car wreck caused by Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Now, Li has to live with the fact that her sister/rival Poppy (Romy Park) is tied to Bill forever.
“Honestly, I haven’t even given that any consideration,” Diamont says of this story causing him to interact with Brooke once again, “but it could certainly do that. It certainly is multi-dimensional.”
“Brad [Bell, executive producer/head writer] has written us into such a tangled web,” Yamada notes. “I can’t wait to see it unfold.”
Soap Hub humorously asked Lisa Yamada on the red carpet if she might have any breath mints she could share. “I stay clear from mints now,” she deadpanned in response.
