Last week on The Bold and the Beautiful, the cease-fire between Steffy and Sheila came to an abrupt halt when Steffy barged into Sheila’s home and assaulted her. We know Steffy felt threatened and was protecting Kelly, but was this a wise move?
Sheila Smiles Behind Kelly
On the February 21 episode, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was happy to send Kelly (Sophia McKinlay) off on a play date with Danny (Elvis Cordero) and his mom Lucy (Amanda Kloots, in her soap opera debut). Kelly took an innocent picture at Il Giardino with her friend and shared it with her mom at home. A lovely moment soon turned to panic as Steffy zoomed in and saw Sheila smiling in the background.
Steffy knows that Sheila works at Il Giardino. In the photo, Sheila wasn’t near Kelly. She was behind her in the distance. Steffy did appear to fly off the handle from the get-go. Calling her ex-husband Liam (Scott Clifton) didn’t help defuse the tension. Liam was concerned for Kelly, naturally, but he also used the opportunity to create more panic towards Sheila as a romantic ploy. Liam threw in Steffy’s face that she would always have to worry about Sheila as long as she was married to Finn (Tanner Novlan). Steffy didn’t take much notice of Liam’s tactic, but he did cause her panic and rage to increase.

Steffy in PTSD Mode
Steffy was reacting from a place of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), given that Sheila almost killed Finn and herself. She clearly hasn’t had enough time to process and heal from that terrorizing incident in the alleyway. So, if Sheila simply breathes in the direction of her and her family now, Steffy explodes.
If Steffy had spoken to Finn instead of Liam, he may have talked her down from that place of complete panic and prevented her from doing something not-so-smart. We know Steffy can handle herself, but going after Sheila in such a bold and violent way only stirred up the beast. Sheila had been behaving herself. Now, she is perched in the bushes outside of Steffy’s home, threatening to kill her. Steffy Forrester, be careful who you smack.
