Laneya Grace Gives Bold and Beautiful Fans a Taste of Electra Forrester: ‘She Knows What She Wants’

Laneya Grace is joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful. She will make her debut as Electra Forrester on the Tuesday, October 22 episode. Grace recently teased a taste of what fans can expect from the new character. 

A Proper Introduction

Grace spoke to TV Insider about her new role. She is the latest Forrester recruit. Grace’s path to soap stardom was kind of unconventional. She admitted that she skipped school to meet with producers in Los Angeles. That’s when she was introduced to the show’s executive producer/head writer, Bradley Bell. 

“And then not even a week later, I got the call saying, ‘Hey, you got the role,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is insane,'” Grace exclaimed. 

She beat other actresses who were auditioning for the role. It wasn’t as cutthroat as you’d think. Grace said they were “so incredibly nice.” She also got a formal tour of the CBS studios. The first day entailed going to the dressing room and shooting her first scene.

The newbie also became friends with Crew Morrow, who plays Will Spencer. (Could their characters become more than just friends?) Grace and Morrow already knew each other, so it felt good for her to have a “familiar face” on set. 

Electrifying

Grace also revealed the details of what fans can expect from Electra. She teased, “She knows what she wants, and she wants to take it, and I love her.” Viewers will also learn Electra’s background soon. 

The young aspiring star also brushed up on her homework. Grace researched the Forrester family before stepping into the role. She learned about the complicated relationships and their legacy in the fashion world. Like Electra, Grace is “really excited” to be in Los Angeles and taking on this new role.

Before B&B, Grace started her career modeling. She appeared in Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” music video when she was just 9. Over the years, Grace took acting lessons and studied theater. She finally got her start on the CBS soap.
