How Steffy Could’ve Pushed Ridge Into Taylor’s Arms on Bold and the Beautiful October 9

Steffy unintentionally set up a parent trap. On the Wednesday, October 9 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy encouraged her father to be there for her mom. Steffy had a feeling something was wrong with Taylor.

It’s That Daughter’s Intuition

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had an intense conversation with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). She noticed how much time he’s been spending with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) lately. The It Girl wasn’t going to meddle in her parents’ lives, but she couldn’t help herself. She can see how happy her mom is with her dad. 

Ridge shared some ominous words that suggested something was wrong with Taylor. When Steffy pressed him with questions, he got angry and claimed he didn’t know what she was talking about.

Ridge swore to keep Taylor’s secret that she has Broken Heart Syndrome. Steffy could tell that something was wrong with her mother. She knew the vibes were off the moment that Taylor set foot in Los Angeles. 

The Parent Trap

On the surface, Steffy seems like a strong woman. However, she still wants her mom around. But she could tell that her mom needed Ridge. Steffy encouraged her father to be there for Taylor no matter what was going on in her life.

She went back on her word about not setting her parents up. She even told Hope (Annika Noelle) that she wouldn’t get involved. She knows that Ridge is happy with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Yet, she still has that thought in the back of her head.

Steffy’s move might not have been so innocent. She knows exactly the right words to say to change her father’s mind about his ex-wife, which could bring them even closer together.

Meanwhile, Brooke overheard Steffy and Ridge’s conversation outside the office door. Her shocked expression suggested she was unhappy with what Steffy told her father. 

She’s also probably not too happy that he was willing to go along with Steffy. This suggests that Ridge is already back to his waffling ways. Brooke could find herself back to fighting over Ridge with Taylor.
