Although his character, Dollar Bill Spencer, might be a shrewd businessman and a major playboy, The Bold and the Beautiful actor Dom Diamont is a nice guy. His co-star Romy Park experienced his good guy demeanor after he helped her during a tough time.
When Park (Poppy) joined the show it was an exciting time for her. However, her joy was cut short by the death of her beloved dog. It was a difficult time for the actress, who opened up about her grief in an interview with Soap Opera Digest.
“Two weeks after I got hired on the show, my dog passed away,” Park explained. “And Bear was my everything. I lived and breathed him. I really was his mother. And so, as happy as I was to be on the show, I really wasn’t laughing. I was just going there [to the studio], I was doing my part, but I was smiling kind of on the surface because I didn’t want to bring that [sorrow] into work with me.”
Park’s grief was overwhelming, but working with Diamont proved to be therapeutic.
“And when I worked with Don the first day, he had me in stitches laughing. I was crying from laughter.” Park had thought she wouldn’t laugh again for a long while due to her sorry over losing her beloved dog. “That’s how I feel about Don,” she said. “I love him. He makes me laugh all the time, and it’s really such a joy to work with him.”
With their characters, Bill and Poppy broken up, Diamont and Park haven’t shared many scenes lately. But when they work together again, it will be a fun and joyful time for the co-stars.
