Although she’s a film star now, Kim Matula hasn’t forgotten her The Bold and the Beautiful roots. Her role as Hope is a topic of conversation that Matula is happy to discuss. Recently, the actress shared her opinion on the famous Hope and Liam romance.
Hope and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) relationship began fourteen years ago, and it’s been filled with ups and downs. Like many soap opera couples, they’ve split up multiple times, mainly because of Liam’s other love, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Despite the drama and heartache, the couple always finds their way back to each other. With over a decade of captivating viewers with their love story, many believe Lope has earned supercouple status. Yet, others aren’t ready to bestow that honor to the pair.
Matula is one of the people who believes Lope is a B&B supercouple. In an interview with Swoon, the actress offered her perspective on Hope and Liam.
”I do view them as a supercouple for sure,” Matula said. “Hope and Liam had so many fans. So many people really stan Hope and Liam.”

The Daytime Emmy nominee compared Lope to another popular B&B supercouple. ”I think Hope and Liam are a supercouple like Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). She followed in her mother’s footsteps and found her own supercouple to be a part of.”
Just like Brooke and Ridge, Hope and Liam’s relationship has been scrutinized by fans. The main critique is Liam’s waffling, something Ridge is familiar with. For years, Liam toyed with Hope’s heart as he went back and forth with her and Steffy. Hope continued letting Liam play mind games until she had enough.
Although Hope (now played by Annika Noelle) is adamant she’s done with Liam, he’s still part of her life because of Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza). Deep down, she’ll always love him and have fond memories of their life together. So it won’t be surprising if the two reunite again.
