Hope and Katie React to Their Exes’ Rushed Relationships on the July 3 Bold and the Beautiful

Man, things got a little heated in the offices of Forrester Creations. In The Bold and the Beautiful episode for July 3, Bill and Katie discussed Poppy, Luna, and Will. In the other office, Hope, Thomas, and eventually Paris kept the action going. Then there was Poppy’s flashback to days of yore. What was going on there, and are we meant to conclude that she’s mourning Tom Starr?

Paris Makes a Declaration

Paris (Diamond White) came at Hope (Annika Noelle — B&B’s Performer of the Month for June) with a fire we had never seen from her before. We guess that means she is really into Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), huh? Some theorize this may be a set-up/scheme to get Hope and Thomas back together. Or this could be Thomas simply turning to Paris for comfort. Then, they quickly realized they had feelings for each other. After all, it’s no shock Thomas would rush into a marriage.

Hope was right when she mentioned how fast this engagement happened. But is she trying too hard to get through to Thomas? Should she back off a little bit? Hope doesn’t seem to be in a place where she would back down. After weeks of feeling her feelings for Finn, she’s suddenly not thinking about the guy at all. Instead, her main focus is Thomas. Will this cause her to test this new rivalry with Paris? She may not want to, after the way Paris threw down that declaration and told her, in no uncertain terms, to never make a play for Thomas again.

Katie Doesn’t Trust Poppy

Katie (Heather Tom) and Bill’s conversation involved a lot. She showed that she was struggling to accept Bill’s new relationship. Even though she doesn’t have a problem with Luna (Lisa Yamada), she definitely has an issue with Poppy (Romy Park — who is teaming up with White Collar‘s Tim Dekay). Katie thinks that Bill (Don Diamont) rushed into this relationship, period.

On top of that, she thinks he needs to watch his back because she doesn’t trust Poppy. Will Bill listen to her? Bill should listen to her because we’re currently seeing Luna’s mom act hella suspicious about Tom (Clint Howard). Also, it felt like in the scenes today, Katie and Bill may not be completely over (Heather Tom looked amazing in those scenes, by the way). He did call her “My Katie.”

Sure, Poppy and Bill’s love for each other burns bright now. But how long will that last? Until the truth about Poppy comes out? Plus, Bill and Katie discussed Will. And when we see him again, he’ll be SORAS’d (check out who’s playing him here). He’ll want to get his parents back together, right?

Poppy and Tom…in love, lust, or LSD?

That Poppy flashback to the days when she and Tom were close was something else, huh? Was Poppy simply a groupie that glued herself to musicians/singers/songwriters? Or did she have a specific interest in Tom? The way she reflected on her past with Tom, it was clear he had impacted her life. (Check out what’s happening on B&B on July 4)
