When Poppy says Katie Logan has no boundaries, she means it. She feels free to let herself into Bill’s mansion whenever she wants. She’s lucky Bill doesn’t ever seem to lock any of the doors to his house. In the Monday, July 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, her sneaky side entrance meant she could accuse her ex-husband’s baby mama of murdering Tom and Hollis. But there’s no way she could be sure of Poppy’s guilt…until she had a conversation with RJ.
Is Poppy the Happy Mints Murderer?
During Friday’s episode, Katie (Heather Tom) slinked in and relentlessly questioned Poppy (Romy Park — this is why Park says Poppy can stand up to Katie) about that night at the music festival.
Katie’s quick and dirty research session yielded gold in the form of Tom Starr (Clint Howard). She discovered that Tom performed the night Poppy and Bill (Don Diamont) met. Her deduction caused her to accuse Poppy of having a relationship with the singer-songwriter.
And then accusations started flying, with Katie wanting to know if Poppy murdered Tom and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers). However, the accusations and questions ended once Luna (Lisa Yamada) entered the room and asked Katie to skedaddle.
But that didn’t stop Katie from calling up her nephew, RJ (Joshua Hoffman), who we haven’t seen in a minute. She asked him to tell her all about Poppy because she thinks there’s something up with her. There’s something off, and she’s putting up a front. At first, RJ was reluctant to spill the beans. (Check out what’s on B&B the rest of the week)
Clearly, he’s thinking about the fateful night that Zende (Delon de Metz) slept with Luna, who was high thanks to her mom’s happy mints. But he didn’t get into specifics partly because it was a traumatic event and partly because it seems like B&B is doing its best to forget that night even happened (and we approve).
While RJ didn’t tell all, he did say that there was a dark side to Poppy even though she was a nice person. He also told his aunt about the mints. This left Katie to deduce that Bill may be in trouble. Maybe those happy mints were in the concoction that both Tom and Hollis overdosed on. Now, Katie is even more hyper-focused on Bill’s safety than ever before. (Find out about Tuesday’s B&B here)
And while this theory may be credible, Katie needs to get her hands on those happy mints first. Her best bet is to hightail her way over to Poppy and Luna’s apartment before the entire building is torn down. If Katie could get her hands on one of those mints, it could be tested, and if it’s what she thinks it is, she may have just caught a murderer.
The only problem is that she hasn’t seen Justin’s face every time Deacon (Sean Kanan) mentions that he thinks Tom and Hollis were murdered. The man is looking a tad guilty. Or is that another expression he’s conveying? Justin (Aaron D. Spears) is back in good graces with Dollar Bill. Would he really ruin that with a side hustle of murder?
What do you think about the mints coming back into play, and why is Justin oozing guilt? Do you think Poppy dropped some of her mints in Tom’s sports drink, and that is why he’s no longer playing music nights at Il Giardino?
