Hope offered to be Finn’s safe space during the May 20 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. While the two converse occasionally, there’s every reason to believe they will turn to each other more and more. After all, they share a connection that nobody else on the planet could ever begin to understand..their parents. What’s going on this week may mean the Hope and Finn era of B&B is here. And just think. This could happen before Thomas and Douglas get home from Paris.
A Big Ask
Last week, Deacon (Sean Kanan) asked his daughter for the moon and the stars. He wanted Hope’s (Annika Noelle) support with his upcoming wedding to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and for her to stand up for her while Deacon stepped in as his best man. Instead of rejecting her dad and wondering how he could be so delusional about Sheila, she said she’d think about it and talk to Finn (Tanner Novlan) about it, too.
That’s what she’s doing. Hope is actually thinking about her father’s request, and she’s sitting in Finn’s hospital office telling him what Deacon wants (and getting head massage therapy). Hope knows how her family will feel about it. Furthermore, she knows exactly what Sheila is capable of, yet from one conversation, she seems open to getting on board with Deacon and Finn’s “changed woman” conclusion regarding Sheila.
Meanwhile, is it ultimatum shmultimatum for Finn? He knows how Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will react if he attends and participates in that wedding. She told him — it’s her or Sheila. Is he ready to see the end of his marriage so he can be there to see his mom get married? Because Steffy isn’t joking, and if he thinks he can get her to see his side, he can think again. But everything in him thinks Sheila deserves a second chance. This is a train wreck waiting to happen.
Potential for a Hope and Finn Era
Considering that Deacon and Sheila’s wedding starts towards the end of this week, Hope and Finn must decide soon. If they both agree to support their parents, this will certainly cause indescribable damage to every other connection they have in town.
Ultimately, Hope and Finn may find themselves on the outside looking in. It might be them against the Forresters and the rest of the Logans. They’re going to have to think long and hard about what the consequences of their actions might yield. Intense drama does have a way of creating unexpected pairings. Hope and Finn may have no other choice but to turn to each other.
Will Hope and Finn become closer, especially if Finn and Steffy’s marriage implodes? And what about Hope? This bonding, along with the head massages, is happening while Thomas is out of the country. When Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) returns to Los Angeles, will Hope have moved on to Finn? As a reminder, Steffy’s husband is not Thomas’s biggest fan, as he reiterated again in Monday’s episode. He also waxed poetic about how great a person Hope is.
Speaking of the head massages…were these for real? Is Hope really having stress headaches? It would make sense with everything that went down with Thomas. But we still can’t help but think that this is something she’s using to get closer to Finn because she secretly wants to take the delusional doc away from Steffy. Is this a revenge tactic on her part? Is she using this Deacon and Sheila’s wedding to her advantage to ensure Steffy’s misery?
