A fight for control of Forrester Creations is brewing. And it may cause a tug-of-war between the Logans and the Forresters. Ridge’s desire to step back from the day-to-day business responsibilities in favor of concentrating on designing might mean trouble. It might mean Brooke and Steffy working closely for the good of the company.
What’s going on with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)? Suddenly, he decided he wanted to step back from his co-CEO responsibilities. Instead, he rather stay focused on designing the company’s couture line. He sounded afraid that the couture line could suffer if he didn’t.
This meant letting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood — who is presenting at the Daytime Emmys) be the sole voice at the top of the Forrester Creations heap. Steffy didn’t quite voice her concerns over this decision, but you could tell she was hesitant.
After all, she’s a mom of two. If she took on all the major day-to-day details as the lone CEO, she might not have enough time to spend with her family. And her family is the most important thing to her. So, Ridge offered another option. He said they could find someone else to potentially step up as a new co-CEO.
Simultaneously, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) celebrated Ridge saving Hope for the Future for another quarter. Hope ranted to her mom about Steffy not being the person to take FC to the next level. And she hyped up Brooke big time. She pointed out how she seemed ready to, once again, be a force of nature at FC. That nobody’s ever forgotten how much of an impact she had on the business over the years.
She also reminded Brooke that she worked her way up. And that she didn’t have a leg up in the fashion world like Steffy did. Yes, in essence, she called Steffy a nepo baby! Hope felt Steffy was trying to erase the Logan influence on FC, but they can’t let that happen.
Hope’s words affected Brooke. Could a pivot back into a major position at FC be in her future? Could she and Steffy ultimately become co-CEOs? Ridge said they needed somebody to think about the product side of things. And with Brooke’s experience, that’s pretty much her specialty.
What would Brooke and Steffy working together look like? It wouldn’t be pretty. Brooke’s a true blue Logan, while Steffy’s a true blue Forrester. These two almost never agree on anything. And with Steffy having it out for HFTF, that animosity and rivalry isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Yikes. (Noelle and Lang attended an Emmy luncheon recently. Check out the details)
