Here’s What Bill Needs to Do Next After the July 31 Bold and the Beautiful

In the Wednesday, July 31 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Poppy confessed to Bill the whole sordid Tom Starr situation. The news about her relationship with the musician affected Bill. After processing the whole thing, he decided to look at things from Poppy’s perspective. But there’s one thing he should do sooner rather than later now that he knows the story.

Poppy’s Past and Paternity Problems

Yes, Poppy (Romy Park — who says this is why Poppy can stand up to Katie) told Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) about her past with Tom (Clint Howard). After all, he was a musician. She loooooves music festivals. And he was a moderately well-known singer 20 years ago. She also told Bill about Katie’s accusations and the letters Tom wrote claiming that he was Luna’s father. The woman came clean. We don’t know if she 100% came clean. But, for now, let’s just say she’s mostly told the truth.

Poppy expected Bill to be so terribly angry with her that it would threaten their relationship. However, that wasn’t the case. Of course, he wondered why she was only telling him this news now. Ultimately, he really felt bad that she had to deal with Stalker Tom all those years.

Thankfully, the two touched on the paternity test, which came up roses for Bill. He’s Luna’s father. But wouldn’t you think learning about Tom’s relationship with Poppy might cloud that result a little bit? That it might make you wonder whether the result was the actual truth? Clearly, knowing Li (Naomi Matsuda) was the one to administer the test is enough to put Bill’s mind at ease. But what he should want is for another paternity test to be taken. With this being a soap opera, he should do it without Poppy and Luna (Lisa Yamada) even knowing. Should the results remain the same, he doesn’t have to bother to fess up his underhandedness. At the same time, he’d have peace of mind.

Then, the next time Katie (Heather Tom) comes barging into his mansion screaming druggie murderer, he can tell her that he believes in Poppy and can tell Katie where to go. Or if it turns out the other way and Tom Starr really is the father, then he and Katie can join forces to find out whether Poppy’s truly a manipulating, murdering music festival groupie. Win, win.
