Heather Tom Joins Bold and the Beautiful Writing Team

The Bold and the Beautiful star, Heather Tom, is a woman of many talents. In addition to being an award-winning actress, she’s also a director for daytime and primetime shows. And now, she’s added another job to her resume.

Flipping The Script

Tom has been beneficial to B&B on and off-screen. In addition to playing Katie, she occasionally directs episodes of the soap opera. The actress is already pulling double duty, but she’s added more behind-the-scenes duties to her schedule.

During a recent chat on the Michael Fairman Channel, Tom revealed she’s writing for the show.

“I’m directing more episodes. I’m actually also writing (for the show),” the actress explained. “So I just finished my third script. That’s kind of a new development.”

Tom’s co-star, Don Diamont, who participated in the chat, was surprised by the news, but he had no doubt she’d succeed in her new role.

“So, there’s nothing shocking to me that she is a sensational director. Heather will be equally wonderful at writing as she is at acting, and as a director, her creative mojo is just off the chart,” he gushed. “She is just so gifted and so committed, and it all matters to her. I just cannot say enough. It is the best thing of my career to work with this wonderfully talented woman, and just wonderful person.”

Tom becomes the latest B&B star to write scripts for the show. Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) joined the writing team in 2021. News of Heather Tom’s new role at B&B is surprising and exciting. Fans will have to tune in to see if Tom’s creativity impacts the show’s storylines.
