Heather Tom Feels Bill and Katie’s Love on Bold and the Beautiful Is Everlasting

Poppy had really thrown a monkey wrench into things by getting Bill involved in a tangled mess where he believed he was the father of her daughter, Luna on The Bold and the Beautiful. But Katie could see the storm coming and tried to head it off as best she could, even being instrumental in getting Poppy arrested for two murders. Her portrayer, Heather Tom, says that Katie and Bill are still extremely connected despite not being romantically involved.

Jealousy Is a Small Part of What Fuels Katie

Ever since Poppy (Romy Park) and Luna (Lisa Yamada) got involved with Bill (Don Diamont), Katie (Heather Tom) has been a constant presence at his house and has been suspicious of Poppy. She looked into his new lover’s past and found a major connection between her and one of the murder victims, Tom (Clint Howard), and while things will most likely take a definite twist, Katie’s care for Bill’s well-being remains a constant. 

Tom spoke to Soap Opera Digest in an August interview and went into all the factors going on between Katie and Bill. She explained that while they haven’t been a couple for a while, “They certainly don’t love seeing one or the other with another person!” She emphasized while Katie’s a wee bit jealous, her worry for Bill’s safety — borne out of their eternal connection — is what motivates her.

Even Apart, Their Love Remains

Tom felt that when they were an item, Bill and Katie had a profound and positive effect on each other and the direction their lives were going in. “Whenever you have two characters that impact each other in that way, that’s not something that just goes away,” she remarked, adding that being in a soap opera, their love story could go on for years.

She then went on to remark that the connection between the two remains a constant, and despite them being separated and finding other partners, “No matter how much they say they’ve moved on from each other, they never really fully move on.” Her ultimate explanation was, “I think that Katie will always love Bill,” and the double murder could certainly reunite the two!
