Mother May I

De Metz never originally planned on pursuing an acting career, but the path opened up thanks to his mother’s encouragement. While he was a sophomore in high school, she arranged for him to meet renowned acting coach Susan Batson in New York as preparation for future college interviews.

That experience sparked his passion for acting, even as his family set clear priorities: he would first focus on academics, gain acceptance to Harvard, and earn his degree. Only after achieving that milestone would he have their full support to follow his dream of becoming an actor. His mother has been a fan of B&B for over 25 years.
