Does Ridge Have Cold Feet On January 17 Bold and the Beautiful?

On the Friday, January 17th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge revealed his change of plans. This could suggest he might have cold feelings about his future with Taylor.

Sudden Change of Plans

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has a lot on his mind, but he’s a man of few words. Eric (John McCook) keeps asking his son about his relationship with Taylor (Rebecca Budig). He noticed the two had grown closer in the past few weeks. It didn’t take Ridge long to move on from Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). He’s now convinced that Taylor is the love of his life.

Ridge only told Eric that he felt good about their future. The two had already started making plans. Previously, Ridge announced that they were moving in together at the beach house. But now, he had a sudden change of plans. Ridge asked Taylor if it was okay if she would move in with him at the Forrester mansion. Taylor was delighted with the idea. She’s finally taking Brooke’s place. But this could suggest that Ridge isn’t as committed as he might seem.

What This Could Mean

It seems like Ridge is pulling back on his future plans with Taylor. It’s reminiscent of his relationship with Brooke when they were engaged. They never made wedding plans. And why not? Ridge proved that he was not fully committed to either woman. He didn’t explain to Taylor why they couldn’t move into the beach house. He just hoped this temporary situation would hold them over. That way, he doesn’t have to worry about the future. Why doesn’t Ridge want to leave his father’s home and live with Taylor?
