The April 25 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful is all about the letter “D.” Characters deflected specific topics and were in denial and disbelief about others. Sheila potentially being alive was a disturbing idea for all parties. Well, except Deacon. And, you know, the jury’s out with Finn.
Apparently, Ridge (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Thorsten Kaye) was off in Paris on Forrester business. He also caught up with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri). According to Ridge, father and son love their time in the City of Lights. However, Douglas misses Hope (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Annika Noelle).
Meanwhile, when Ridge asked Brooke (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Katherine Kelly Lang) about what’s been going on in LA, she told him most of what happened. She filled him in on Deacon (Sean Kanan) and his ramblings about Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) not being alive and how it affected Hope.
However, she didn’t tell him what she learned about RJ (Joshua Hoffman), Luna (Lisa Yamada), and Zende (Delon de Metz — who changed while working with Shemar Moore). RJ begged his mom not to tell Ridge. And, so far, Brooke’s lips remain sealed. How long will she be able to keep it up? Secrets and lies tend to erode a relationship.
Hope and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had a civil conversation that didn’t tap into their heated rivalry. They simply talked about Deacon’s thoughts on Sheila and how he’s delusional (another “D”) regarding Sheila and her unalive status.
Steffy wants Deacon to stop filling her husband’s head with nonsense, especially when it’s false. She’s still in total disbelief that Finn (Tanner Novlan) felt a modicum of a connection with his birth mom. And if Deacon can talk Finn into believing the Sheila hype, they will not be rid of the woman anytime soon.
Hope was in disbelief as well. The thing she wanted was to reestablish a relationship with her father. But Deacon was out there spewing his half-baked theories about Sheila. And he was telling anybody who would listen. She wants this whole Sheila business behind them as much as anyone. At this rate, that won’t happen for a long, long time.
Deacon is in deep denial regarding Sheila being someone he should love. Yet, he no longer is in denial regarding the potential of the woman he loves being alive. As delusional as Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) story about Sugar sounds, we know it’s true. And Deacon is confident it’s true as well.
The question is whether he can get a disbelieving Finn on his side. He told the good doctor the disturbing facts like Sheila forcing her face onto Sugar’s (also Kimberlin Brown) courtesy of a shady plastic surgeon. And the fact that Sugar was doing Sheila’s prison time. Or was, considering she was recently released from prison.
Now, Deacon wants Finn to join him on this journey of discovery. Because deep in his bones, he feels Sheila is out there and hurt. Will Finn go along for this disturbing, delusional ride? You know the answer is yes, right?
What do you think about Brooke going along with RJ’s wishes not to tell Ridge about Luna’s night with Zende? How far do you think Deacon and Finn will go to find Sheila? And how will Steffy and Hope react to this madness?
