B&B Star Darin Brooks’ Revealing Take on Blue Mountain State

There’s mischief in the air, and Darin Brooks (Wyatt, The Bold and the Beautiful) is behind the mayhem. Brooks took a break from portraying the ever-sensible Wyatt to tackle his former role of Alex Moran in Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland. It seems the change of pace was something he enjoyed.

“On B&B, I play the most romantic, perfect guy and on BMS, I’m a slacker, player — the complete opposite. So it’s very fun.”

This movie is based on Spike TV’s Blue Mountain State, which ran from 2010 till 2011. During that short time, the show gained a devout following. The love of BMS fans has not gone unnoticed, and Brooks seemed very appreciative of them.

“We just have this cult following. I think it’s really nice that it didn’t just fizzle out [after the show was cancelled]. It’s still going strong, even now.”

This movie also allowed Brooks to once again work with his fiancée, Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, The Young and The Restless). They met during the original series’ run but have not been in anything together since. Kruger seemed especially grateful for the opportunity.

“We work so well together. We just love it.”
