Here’s Bold and the Beautiful’s Darin Brooks’ Hot New Gig

The Bold and the Beautiful alum Darin Brooks scored a new gig. This news just comes on the heels of his latest project. He’s staying busy and booked after his departure from the CBS soap. 

From One Sports Comedy to Another

According to Deadline, Brooks will star in a new sports comedy called The Roaring Game. The cast also includes Antwon Tanner (One Tree Hill), Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie), Fivel Stewart (The Recruit), and Justin Chatwin (Shameless). 

Chad A. Verdi and his Verdi Productions produced the project. Tom DeNucci penned the screenplay. The comedy centers around a custodian who works at a high school. His girlfriend plays for Team USA and the World Games. 

She leaves him while her career is on the rise. The heartbroken custodian brings out his inner athlete. He starts a curling team, relying on his janitorial skills to help him out. The team is filled with misfits who are less than athletic. 

“We have assembled an elite team of comedic all-stars to bring this project to life. We are thrilled for audiences to see Rickey and the gang compete for the gold in the World Games next winter,” Verdi said. “With so much negativity in the world, I really wanted to tell a story that embraces the lighter side of life.”

Brooks just wrapped filming on Blue Mountain State. He took to social media to share behind-the-scenes shots from the new movie in the franchise. Brooks keeps scoring gigs in the sports comedy genre.

Filming for the new comedy just wrapped. Brooks had to keep this big secret, but the cat was finally out of the bag. The former B&B star shared the news on his Instagram account, including a screenshot of Deadline’s report and a few shots from the film.

“👀 Can’t put THAT cat back in the bag!!! Let’s go!!! 🙌🔥💪🎬😎😁🥌 Sooo, yeah! This is the comedy I’ve been filming with all these absolute legends and all-stars… called ‘THE ROARING GAME’!!! 🥌 Can’t wait for you all to see it!! LOVE these people to the moon and back! Cast and crew, 1000000%, we’re just INCREDIBLE!!,” he captioned his post. 

Fans took to the comment section to react. “Looking forward to seeing you on the big scream,” one fan wrote. “Yay! So excited for you and us, all of your fans!!! 👏👏👏” another user exclaimed. “So happy! I cannot wait. I just know that is going to be so good!” a third fan noted. 

Brooks also got support from his fellow soap stars. Fellow B&B alum Kiara Barnes wrote, “🔥🔥🔥🔥congrats !!” The former star of The Young and the Restless and Brooks’ wife commented, “Can’t wait!!!!👏❤️”
