Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Darin Brooks and his character Wyatt do not appear in the updated opening The Bold and the Beautiful credits. Now, the actor is talking about his status with the show to set the record straight.
“Until we meet again… ” Brooks began an Instagram post. “So, many of you have seen that I am no longer in the credits on [The Bold and the Beautiful], and after 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say ‘Until we meet again…’ to Wyatt Spencer…(Doesn’t mean it’s the end, just…bye for now…🙂)
“Honestly, I have to thank the big man, Brad Bell [executive producer/head writer], for having me, you seriously changed my life, man!” Brooks continued. “Love and appreciate you, always! The experiences, the trips, the memories, the friendships…All will forever hold a special place in my heart!!
“To the Spencer men, Scott [Clifton, Liam] and Don [Diamont, Bill], you’re like family to me in real life so I’ll see ya soon (offset) 😉 Haha To all the cast and crew, too many people to mention but just know… I LOVE YOU ALL, and thank you for everything!!!” Brooks says, “❤️ A HUGE Thank you to [CBS] for letting me be a part of your daytime family!!
“And to the many, MANY fans around the world watching this show… THANK YOU!!” the actor continues. “For always watching and enjoying what I LOVE TO DO!! You all touched my heart just by tuning in every day and being a part of our Bold and Beautiful family!! ❤️.
“Time to see what’s around the bend… 😉🤙😎,” Brooks optimistically concludes his post. His daytime pals and wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, Young and the Restless) are weighing in with supportive words. “So proud of you babe!” shared Kruger, who has recurred on B&B as Forrester International publicist Eva. “And what great memories we have in the last 10 years. A lot of big life moments shared with the [The Bold and the Beautiful] family. 🙏🏻❤️.”
Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R), who was paired on and off with Brooks during her time at B&B, wrote, “❤️ A legend. 👏 truly one of the best on and off screen! So grateful for the time we had! 🙏🏼.”
While Brooks has signed off, it’s important to note that even he is calling this exit “for now.” There’s always the chance he’ll pop up as Wyatt on a recurring basis when the show invites him to reprise his role.
