Crew Morrow, son of Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow, has been cast as Will Spencer, the son of Bill and Katie on Bold and the Beautiful. The actor has yet to make his first appearance, but he’s already previewing his character — and which parent he favors!
In the current issue of TV Guide magazine, dated July 15 to August 4, Morrow says he’s happy not only to be on B&B, but he also is glad to be working across the hall from his real-life dad (read our interview with Joshua Morrow about his 30 years on Y&R here). “I think it’s awesome that we work on the same lot,” Morrow says. “I knock on his door and ask him if he wants to hang out. I don’t feel any fear going into it knowing he’s there as well.”
Previously, Will was played by Finnegan George and Zane Achor, who is Tom’s real-life son. Now, he’s been aged up a bit just as his dad’s character Nicholas was on Y&R when the senior Morrow joined the cast.
Watch for Will’s re-entrance onto the canvas start off “rocky.” Morrow reveals that Will is “prideful,” adding, “He loves his family. He loves his mother– I think a little bit more than [he loves] his father.”
No word yet on where Katie and Bill’s son be living when he comes home, but in real-life Morrow is residing on Cloud Nine. “It still doesn’t feel real,” Crew Morrow says. “I’m just so grateful that B&B decided to go with me.”
Ironically, soap hopper Tom, who plays Will’s mother, once played the TV sister to Morrow’s dad, Joshua, when she was Victoria on Y&R! In between playing Victoria on Y&R and joining B&B as Katie, Tom had a Daytime Emmy-nominated turn as Kelly on One Life to Live.
