Clint Howard, a longtime Hollywood actor/producer/author, is adding soap operas to his lengthy resume. He’s going to appear on The Bold and the Beautiful in a pair of episodes coming up late next month.
From Gentle Ben to B&B
Deadline reports that Howard is set to play a homeless man named Tom who will provide “pivotal clues to a mystery.” There’s no word on what mystery Howard’s character will be tied to. Could it have something to do with the late Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)? Or maybe the late Emma (Nia Sioux)? Or something else entirely? Viewers are going to have to tune in to find out!
Howard began shooting his shows today. He will air on Friday, April 26, and then again on Monday, April 29. Howard along with his brother, actor/director Ron Howard (The Andy Griffith Show; Happy Days) wrote the book The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family, which was published in 2021. The book chronicled the rise of the two child stars as they became Hollywood icons.
Howard’s credits include Gentle Ben, the original Star Trek as Balok, and, most recently, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, where he played Commander Buck Martinez.
The former child star isn’t the first celebrity to do a guest turn on B&B. The late Charlton Heston (ex-Jason, The Colbys) played himself on the show in 1993. Other famous faces on B&B include Usher (ex-Raymond), Phyllis Diller (Gladys), and Dionne Warwick, who also played herself on the show.
