Yasbeck’s turn as a Spencer executive won’t be her first on a soap opera. While she’s best known for playing Casey Chappel Davenport on the ’90s sitcom Wings, the actress’s soap credits include Olivia Reed on Days of Our Lives (1986-87), a two-episode guest stint on Dallas as Mary Elizabeth (1987), and the role of Carla on Generations (1989). For B&B, she’s guest-starring as Cassie, who has been charged with closing a crucial business deal.

It’s not often that Spencer has a new face walking the halls. The change of venue for B&B’s filming location looks to be bringing renewed investment in Bill’s multibillion-dollar business. Sunset Las Palmas Studios has given the soap more space to showcase the work the characters do in their day-to-day and make the sets more dynamic.
While we’ve only seen Bill’s main office so far, we hope Spencer Publications will experience the same expansion that Forrester Creations and Il Giardino have since the change. If so, viewers may be able to look forward to a resurgence in that aspect of B&B’s storytelling. The Spencers haven’t really had their roost used effectively in some time. It’ll be good to see them in their domain, especially Bill and Liam.
