As Days of Our Lives’ cute little Thomas, Cary Christopher has won the hearts of fans. He’s also appeared in a few TV shows, including Fuller House and The Rookie. Now he’s got an incredible new series he’s working on, which boasts a great cast. The young actor excitedly shared the news on social media, and is ready for action.
Young Thomas will have to navigate some difficult issues with the fake Abigail (AnnaLynne McCord) story on DAYS. But while that plays out, Cary Christopher shared incredible news on Instagram, writing, “I don’t even have the words for how excited I am to be a part of this series!!!! Thank you to my amazing agent Kathy, manager Sandra, and entertainment lawyer Ryan!! Lucky to have the best team around!!!! Love you guys!!!” (Find out about the fake Abigail’s regrets.)
The series he’s referring to is called Spider-Noir, and stars Nicholas Cage as “An aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York [who] is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero,” according to IMDb. This is the first live-action appearance of the 1930s New York crime fighter, Spider-Man Noir — a character that Cage provided the voice for in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Also starring in it is Brendan Gleeson, who’s most famous for playing the beloved Alastor ‘Mad-Eye’ Moody in the Harry Potter films, and Lukas Haas, who achieved fame in the film Witness (1985). (Learn which Harry Potter star is a Bachelor fan.)
Christopher’s post also included an image of him and Spider-Man Noir side-by-side with the text, “Cary Christopher Joins the Cast of Spider-Noir and images of The Wrap and Deadline’s pages announcing his being cast in the series. Over on X, formerly Twitter, he shared a different version of his side-by-side graphic animated with film scratches and fog overlaying it. He captioned it, “Over the moon!!!! 🌙🥳,” and included the Deadline link.
Also, via the IMDb page, the series is produced by Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, and Amazon Studios and will air on Amazon Prime Video and MGM+. Although no release date has been announced yet, DAYS fans are eager to see Christopher in his latest role. He brought hilarity to the small screen earlier in 2024 with Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), where they appeared in a Pringles Superbowl ad, so it will be exciting to find out what he brings to Spider-Noir.
