“Bridge” will reach its breaking point. Once again. The Wednesday, December 4 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful revealed why Brooke and Ridge’s relationship isn’t going to last. Brooke saved the day when she revealed Hope and Carter’s attempts at a coup. But now she’s back to defending her nefarious daughter.
For a couple destined to be together, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) have their share of challenges. This time, it’s all because of Brooke’s daughter, Hope (Annika Noelle). On Wednesday’s episode, they see the situation differently.
At first, it seemed like Brooke was done defending her daughter. (Brooke could’ve reignited a war with Hope.) That all changed when Brooke and Hope had another heart-to-heart. Brooke confessed to Hope that she’s been worried about her lately. She is aware that her daughter hasn’t been making the best decisions lately.
Seducing married men. Staging a coup. Dropping a perfectly good man like he meant nothing to her. What’s next? Yet that’s not going to stop Brooke from loving her daughter. She told Hope that she would support her no matter what happened. This is a different take from how Ridge felt. He believed that Hope was a seductress who manipulated men.

Ridge fully supported Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) decision to fire Hope. The father-and-daughter duo devised a plan to ensure that Hope could never return to Forester Creations again. Ridge doesn’t want to take any chances this time around.
In Wednesday’s episode, Brooke told Hope that she disagreed with Ridge and believed Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was responsible for his actions. Eventually, Brooke will get sick of Ridge talking trash about her daughter. She could fight back and blame Steffy for getting rid of Hope for the Future because of her personal feelings.
Ridge and Steffy should realize by now that Hope no longer wants Finn (Tanner Novlan). She had already moved on with Carter. But they’re too steamed up about her to see straight. Meanwhile, “Bridge” will continue to crumble. Ridge and Brooke are standing by their respective daughters. That’s enough to create a wedge in their relationship.
