Bobbie Eakes Is Making (Bold and) Beautiful Music

Bobbie Eakes sang many beautiful love ballads on The Bold and the Beautiful for years. Now, the actress is sharing news about a love song she’s covered that’s now available — just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Bobbie Eakes: Love Song

Eakes (learn more about her here) has recorded a romantic song with her Dutch singing partner Jeffrey Schenk. “We did a cover of one of my favorite ballads — ‘Sometimes When We Touch’ — by Dan Hill,” the actress/singer tells Soap Hub. “It will be available to stream on all platforms.”

Hill wrote the song for his album Longer Fuse along with Barry Mann. While Hill handled the lyrics, Mann provided the music. The song was the singer’s biggest hit, rising to the No. 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was No. 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

Hill began composing the song when he was 19 years old in an effort to get the woman he was dating to be his steady. While the song was a hit, Hill, alas, failed to convince the woman for whom he wrote it to date him exclusively.
