In the Tuesday, June 11 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Poppy pops a question, Hope searches her soul, and Steffy unleashes a big ask.
All was right in the land of Dollar Bill (Don Diamont), Poppy (Romy Park), and Luna (Lisa Yamada — talks about being a Spencer here). Liam (Scott Clifton) couldn’t have been more ecstatic to discover he had a half-sister. Because his dad was happy, he was happy.
However, Katie (Heather Tom) felt slighted that Bill hadn’t discussed this with her. Considering she and Bill share a son, she decided to head over to his place to talk to him herself. Immediately, she overheard Poppy and Luna talking about moving into the mansion.
Katie gritted her teeth through the surfacely polite conversation. There was a lot simmering beneath her surface as she listened to Poppy talk about how great everything is now that they can finally be a family. Luna told Katie how much she can’t wait until she meets Will.
Katie looked more uncomfortable with each passing word. Then Poppy mentioned that Liam had given them his blessing, and now she hoped that Katie could do the same. How will Katie respond? Katie doesn’t seem the type to give away all her secrets and feelings at once. She might give her approval and then later figure out how she’s going to get Bill back.
Hope (Annika Noelle) has it bad. And it’s not for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) — it seems like an out-of-sight, out-of-mind situation there. Finn (Tanner Novlan) is the one here and now. And she can’t help but realize how much of a good guy he is. She already told him he’s the entire package. He would be devoted to her, and his past baggage is much lighter than Thomas’s or Liam’s, for that matter.
After Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) put her on notice, Hope fled to the other office, where she could sit in peace and think about Finn and all of his wonderful attributes. That is until her mom walked in. When the conversation veered into Finn-land, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) sussed out enough to ask the million-dollar question: “Are you having feelings for Steffy’s husband?”
She’ll admit to her mom that she is, right? Maybe Brooke will suddenly advise her daughter that having feelings for Thomas is more acceptable than going there with Finn. After all, Steffy may be Thomas’s brother, but Finn is her husband. It will not end well if she makes a play for Finn, who has shown her kindness and caring but not much more.
Here’s another question: Does Finn have enough of a voice in his marriage to Steffy? Lately, she has been making all sorts of demands about Finn staying away from Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and now Hope.
Also, if he does speak up, like he did when he defended Hope, Steffy was all, ‘Stay in your lane.” When Finn makes his own controversial decisions in their relationship, will she always meet him with ultimatums, demands, and orders?
It’s easy to understand the need for Steffy to dictate what goes on in her marriage. After all, Finn’s decisions have been questionable at best. Steffy wants a life free from the people who have hurt her. Plain and simple.
Unfortunately, while Finn’s tastes are pretty simple, the life around him tends to get downright chaotic. Toxic drama has followed him ever since Sheila came into his life. And with his wanting a relationship with his birth mom, that’s not going to stop anytime soon.
But will Steffy’s demands become a source of pain and discomfort for the couple? What happens if/when Finn tires of being ordered around?
