Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Thorsten Kaye weren’t the only The Bold and the Beautiful winners at the Daytime Emmys last weekend. Jeresa Featherstone, the show’s costumer, won for Outstanding Costume Design/Styling in a Drama Series. Soap Hub was at the Creative Arts ceremony and chatted with the victor after her win.

Bold and the Beautiful: Always in Fashion

“This is my first [win] as head costumer,” Featherstone told Soap Hub in the backstage press area at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles. She has been with B&B for about six years and was promoted to the show’s top design position around three years ago.

She submitted a variety of fashions to compose her winning reel. “We had a Hope For The Future fashion show, a wedding, Christmas, and some model fittings,” Featherstone reveals.

Names like “Hope For The Future” and “Forrester couture” are bandied about all the time on B&B. What are the differences between those lines within Forrester Creations? “Hope For The Future is a sustainable brand, more Bohemian, and laid back,” Featherstone says. “It’s for all ages, but it has a vibe that flows more. Forrester couture is classic Hollywood. Eric’s collection is more ballgowns. Ridge’s is more form-fitted designs.” (Refresh your memory on Ridge and Eric’s fashion showdown here).

This year, B&B upped its fashion game even more by presenting fashions in Rome with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope (Annika Noelle) and, more recently, having a showdown between Eric (John McCook) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Fashion continues to play a role on B&B as Ridge, RJ (Joshua Hoffman), and Zende (Delon de Metz) attempt to help complete Eric’s most recent line of fashions.

Featherstone shares her Daytime Emmy with a terrific team that includes Renee V. Brunson and Anabel Shuckhart, who are Wardrobe Supervisors, along with Shirin Enyati, Tayo Fajemisin, Lucy Flores, Ross Fuentes, Jennifer Johns, Patrice Johnson, Gail Mosley, and Angelo Santos, who are Costume Stylists. Soap Hub sends congratulations to the entire team.
