Ashley Jones plays Bridget on Bold and the Beautiful, a loving daughter, mother, and friend. Now, the actress is saying goodbye to a dear friend and family member in real-life as her beloved pug Oscar has passed away.
Ashley Jones Pays Tribute to Oscar
“Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong!” Jones posted as she acknowledged both the love she feels for Oscar and the love everyone has for their dogs. “But, Oscar was pretty special. We loved this dog. My little buddy sat next to me during the hardest times of my life and never left my side. And was a true friend to [my son] Hayden.
“Oscar stuck around until he knew we were really gonna be ok….” continues Jones, who is also known to soap fans for her turns as Megan on Young and the Restless and Parker on General Hospital. “Grief is not a sign of weakness, but the price you pay for love. 💔Run free, my friend. And tell [our other dog] Scottie I miss him every day. 🕊️🕊️ @oscarthehappy.”
Sending Love
B&B and other daytime pals offered their condolences on Jones’s tribute post. Sabryn Genet, who played Tricia Dennison, Jones’s TV sister on Y&R, shared her thoughts. “Ash…I’m so sorry,” Genet wrote. “I know this pain all too well. Sending you & Hayden hugs! Run free, Oscar. Until we meet them again in Heaven. 🌈🙏♥️.”
“Beautiful tribute 🐾,” wrote Casey Kasprzyk, B&B’s Supervising Producer. “You were so blessed to find each other. You couldn’t have asked for a more loyal friend or greater love ❤️.”
Like some celebrity pets, Oscar had his own Instagram account. His bio reads: “Living the dream in Sunny Southern Cali. I love long hikes in the canyons and watching Dateline in bed.”
Ashley Jones: Best Oscar Short
Check out Jones’s post below. She created a video tribute to Oscar, showing a variety of photos of the pooch and Hayden from over the years. The video is set to Natalie Cole’s This Will Be (An Everlasting Love). The song is appropriate as Jones’s love for Oscar is just that. Soap Hub sends sincere condolences to Jones and her family on the loss of dear Oscar.
