Bold and the Beautiful Baby News: Matthew Atkinson Is Becoming a Dad

As Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful, Matthew Atkinson has learned how to become a good dad. That’s a good thing because now, the actor who plays Douglas’s pop has some real-life parenting news!

It’s a Father!

Atkinson and his wife have announced on their joint Instagram accounts that they are becoming parents. “Our next adventure,” Atkinson’s wife, Brytnee Ratledge, wrote. Check out the photo below which features the mother and father-to-be facing each other with mom’s tiny baby bump being evident.

Well-wishers from numerous soap operas chimed in with congratulatory messages. “Gorgeous mama. I love you so much,” wrote Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives). Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy, Atkinson’s TV sister, shared her response by posting seven red heart emojis!

Courtney Hope (Sally, Young and the Restless) and Ashley Jones (Bridget) also expressed love and happiness for the couple. Atkinson has been absent from the B&B canvas in recent months. Thomas took Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) moved to Paris where he fell in love, it appears, with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). Is it really love, though, or is he trying to prompt Hope (Annika Noelle) into admitting her love for Thomas?

Atkinson will be able to reach out to lots of co-stars should he want to ask them to parenting advice. In addition to Wood, other B&B parents include Scott Clifton (Liam), Darin Brooks (ex-Wyatt), and Don Diamont (Bill), who recently became a grandfather.

Later this year, Baby Atkinson will join his parents, who are already a family of three as they are proud doggie parents to Maisel, an adorable Dalmation, who has her own Instagram account — @101dalmaisels.
