What a difference a confession makes. During the Monday, August 26 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Luna (or should we say Loon-a) rigged a cage tailor-made for Steffy. Steffy can scream all she wants because there shouldn’t be anyone else in the building. After all, the building is set for demolition sooner rather than later. For the last few days, we’ve witnessed a brand new Luna. And we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Spiked Iced Tea Regrets
First of all, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) should have known better than to drink all that iced tea Luna (Lisa Yamada) offered. Why would she not just accept the drink but practically drink the entire glass? Luna acted sus, and, surprisingly, Steffy didn’t see it, considering she had just spotted the woman kissing Bill (Don Diamont), the man who, until two seconds ago, everybody thought was her father.
Now, Steffy is trapped in a cage that Luna built around her while she was unconscious. Once she woke up and regained the ability to put two words together, she once again remembered that Luna put her in that cage, and oh yeah, she killed Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers). Luna attempted to stay quiet about the murders, but ultimately, she confessed.
What does this mean for Steffy? Trouble, duh. The building will be demolished, and she will be buried under mountains and mountains of rubble. It’s actually a really great way to dispose of somebody on a soap. And it will mean that somebody will have to rescue her if Steffy can’t figure out how to get herself out of this mess — preferably Finn (Tanner Novlan).
New Luna, Who Dis?
Up until now, this storyline has been underwhelming, but with the reveal that Luna is the Il Giardino killer and that she set up her mom to go to prison, we’re on board. At least with Steffy (find out what else Luna has in store for her), Luna has let go of her sweet, innocent persona in favor of a darker, more devious personality. She actually might be a broken woman because of her upbringing.
And who knows what happened during her childhood and teenage years? She must have experienced multiple levels of trauma. We finally discovered some of what happened, but there must be so much more. What we do know is that their Nozawa power schtick was a facade that only Poppy (Romy Park) believed.
And did you get a load of what this version of Luna was wearing? The outfit immediately signaled a darker soul that had been waiting to come out. We’re anxious to see how her interactions with RJ (Joshua Hoffman) will be now that the true Luna (or who might be the true Luna) is out and ready for her debut. So far, she has kissed Bill and caged Steffy. What else will she do? Will she automatically dump RJ and continue to try to seduce Bill? Will she go after Katie, or was Katie a tool that helped her nail Poppy without throwing suspicion on her? Better yet, what version of Luna will she present to Zende (Delon de Metz) if B&B ever shows him again? Do we have to rethink and re-see everything Luna has done since her arrival in Los Angeles?
Is this who Luna has been all along? Or is she experiencing alternate personalities, which is a super popular trope used on soaps these days? What do you all think about the new edgier Luna? Where do you think she’ll go from here? Will this version of her be a short-term thing? Or will her villainous reign keep going and going like Sheila’s has? Let us know in the comments!
