The Steffy and Finn fight that happened in the Tuesday, August 20 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, had us leaning towards Team Finn even though we wanted to be Team Steffy. This happened solely because he came clean with Steffy about kissing Hope right away. We’ve said this before, but as much as we understand why Steffy was fed up with Finn, there was something seriously missing from the conversation.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has repeatedly laid down the law regarding Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Hope (Annika Noelle). And as understandable as her concerns are about why she wants Finn (Tanner Novlan) to stay away from both of them, he has the right to make up his own mind. He certainly doesn’t always get it right.
Well, with Sheila, he’s a lost cause. We can’t help him there. There’s no explanation for why Finn was able to forgive his bio mom after everything she’s done. With Hope, he did put himself in these inappropriate situations and conversations (head massages, anyone?).
However, during each of those times, he remained steadfast. He wasn’t tempted. He repeatedly raved about Hope, trying to get her to see what she had to offer, but each time, it never seemed like it crossed the line. Ultimately, he was nice to her. And, yes, he attempted to keep the peace. The guy had good intentions, even though he was clueless. (Here’s what fans really feel about B&B’s shocking Bill/Luna plot twist)
We want to agree with Steffy wholeheartedly. What’s stopping us? For one, this was a one-sided “crime.” Hope was the culprit. And two, Steffy has kissed Liam (more than once) while married to Finn but hasn’t told him.
As a result, much of her argument to Finn felt hypocritical, and she needed to just leave and go take things up with Hope (which she is about to do). Finn did everything he could to tell her that he would listen to her, which, aside from giving us controlling vibes, signifies that he desperately wants to take away the pain he caused his wife.
Steffy needs to fess up to Finn about hiding her own planted kisses with Liam (Scott Clifton), who’s roughly been MIA these last few months. They’ve put his obsession with reuniting with Steffy on the back burner. Is he about to make a comeback so those secrets can be revealed? Please say yes.
What did you think of Steffy and Finn’s fight? Whose team are you? How about Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope? What do you think is going on with Hope? Let us know in the comments!
