So, Brooke may need to have another chat with her daughter. In the Wednesday, August 14 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, the iconic Brooke Logan assured Steffy that she and Hope didn’t want to cause trouble. The Logan women simply wanted to get along and work together for the success of Forrester Creations. Then, a seriously buzzed Hope kissed Finn out of the blue. Well, there goes Brooke’s plan.
Drunken Kiss
Throughout the entire episode, we thought about how out-of-character both Hope (Annika Noelle) and Bill (Don Diamont) were acting. Hope was sipping too much champagne. Meanwhile, Dollar Bill parked his butt at home with Luna (Lisa Yamada) instead of going to the police station to see what was up with Poppy (Romy Park). It was odd.
Then Hope took it a few steps further. She’s been acting up this whole Brooke’s Bedroom success party. She was the first one to toast her mother. Which, normally, would be okay. But she’s not at the top of the heap at Forrester. The honor of the first toast should have gone to Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), or Steffy (Jacqueline McInnes Wood — who shared sleep tips here). And as proud of her mom as she is, she does not need to remind everybody of her mom’s legendary past every 2.3 seconds.
And sure, Steffy pouting in the corner with a supportive Finn (Tanner Novlan) was equally bratty. However, by the end of the half-hour, we suddenly understood her hesitation to partake in the celebratory atmosphere. It’s hard to hear everybody over-the-top rave about Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Meanwhile, Hope reveled in Steffy’s grudging happiness. She took every opportunity to highlight her mother’s greatest hits at Forrester. Add the current success, plus this new deal with Danny (Michael Damian — Lauralee shared bts video of her and Michael’s crossover) to meld his music with their fashion line, and things got a little out of hand.
It was actually refreshing to see Finn support his wife like he did, whether she was right or wrong. But when Steffy took a call, Hope made her move (please let it be another dream). She drunkenly slinked over to Steffy’s husband and planted a kiss on him. As far as we could tell, Finn didn’t return the smooch. On top of that, he had a look of horror on his face.
What’s wrong with Hope? She’s lost and wants payback for Steffy helping ensure her breakup with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson)? Is it these headaches she keeps having? Is there something physically wrong with her or just emotionally? Something feels off with her, and we wonder if we’ll get an actual explanation at some point. That is, if there is an explanation other than Steffy doesn’t think Hope can ever trash Steffy’s life, and so Hope is trying her best to prove her wrong.
How do you explain what’s going on with Hope? Will Finn tell Steffy about this alleged kiss? Let us know in the comments.
