Hope expressed how much she missed Thomas in the June 24 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. The problem is, she assumed he returned single. He didn’t. Meanwhile, the newly formed Bill, Poppy, and Luna family unit gathered on the patio at Il Giardino for dinner. But they had an idle observer from afar. Tom knows something is up with Poppy. We presumed Luna really was Bill’s biological daughter. Now, we’re rethinking everything.
When Thomas (Matthew Atkinson — who is back on B&B) left to go to Paris, we really thought he meant the City of Love. We didn’t realize he would also end up with Paris (a returned Diamond White), who’s been off the canvas for months and months. Yet, the show never removed the character from the open. Now we know why.
Thomas and Douglas’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) first stop after they landed in Los Angeles was to see Hope (Annika Noelle) at Forrester. But, he had so much more to tell his ex. First, Hope had the floor. She told Thomas how much she missed him. How lost she was without him and Douglas. She loved how he loved her — with full commitment, and his sunlight only shined on her.
However, she wasn’t ready for marriage (very understandable). She had to heal from her divorce, plus she had to figure out who she was. Thomas still showed hurt over her rejecting his proposals twice. Ultimately, it didn’t matter because Thomas didn’t come back single. He reconnected with Paris, and now they’re engaged, and Douglas started calling her “Mom.” (Here’s what’s going on with Hope and Thomas on Tuesday, June 25)
Here’s what we hope for the future: that this thing between Thomas and Paris is real and he’s not using her, that he has genuinely gotten over Hope, and that should the two (Thomas and Hope) work their way back to each other, it’s from a new, healthier place. Hopefully, Paris isn’t a forgotten side of this sudden triangle. We’ll need to hear her POV, and she has her own agency.
If or when Hope goes to extremes to try to get Thomas back, may Paris give as good as she receives. There’s also the matter of Hope’s feelings for Finn (Tanner Novlan). If Thomas is clued into this, he won’t let his jealousy or darker side take over. We want a well-written story arc with organic obstacles, healthy-ish mindsets, and equal perspectives from all involved.
Yes, we were ready to believe Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) was Luna’s bio dad. Ever since Poppy (Romy Park) ran into our man Tom (Clint Howard) at Il Giardino, her reaction got us thinking: What if we’re wrong? Today, Spencer and Luna (Lisa Yamada) were so happy — like over-the-top happy. They laughed, made plans, and joked with each other. It was almost too perfect. And that makes us pause, especially since Poppy clearly has some sort of past connection to Tom.
Speaking of Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) officiant, he observed the Spencer/Nozawa family from afar with a curious look on his face. It’s the same expression he had when he wondered how Deacon could have married Sheila. The guy doesn’t have much of a filter. He can’t keep his opinions about Sheila to himself (which is super dangerous of him), and hopefully, he’ll spill where he knows Poppy from soon. (Check out Soap Hub’s Weekly Updates here)
Until then, Tom better watch out. He already upset Sheila, and now he’s on Poppy’s radar. That’s a double dose of danger.
