Ashleigh Brewer dropped by The Bold and the Beautiful‘s 37th anniversary party over the weekend as more than a guest of the show. A rep for B&B confirms to Soap Hub that the Australian-born actress is coming home to the half-hour soap for some on-screen appearances.
The Ivy Halls of Forrester Creations
Brewer, known for Australian soaps Neighbours and Home and Away, came to B&B in 2014 as Ivy, Eric Forrester’s niece, the daughter of John Forrester (Daytime Emmy-winner Fred Willard), and half-sister of Jessica Forrester (Maitland Ward).
During her tenure on the show, Brewer played out a romance with Liam (Scott Clifton) and took a dunk in the Seine after Quinn (Rena Sofer) pushed her into the river to keep Liam from meeting up with Hope so that Liam being a no-show would create a pathway to love for Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Quinn’s son, and Hope.
Brewer left the show in 2018. Since exiting, she’s appeared in Lovestruck, At the Edge of Night, and she played Totally Hair Barbie in the Oscar-winning hit film Barbie. You can read about Brewer’s real-life engagement here.
“Happy 37th Anniversary B&B family!” Ashleigh Brewer posted on Instagram along with a photo of pal Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy). Wood responded to Brewer’s post: “Maaaaa babbbbeee!! Looove youuuuu.” There’s no word on what is bringing Ivy back to the story canvas. Could it be to help fill Liam’s currently empty dance card? Is there a Forrester Creations crisis on the horizon in which Ivy will play a key role? Stayed tuned for details on her first return air date.
