Pierson Fode is no longer Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful, but fans who came to know the actor during his daytime run still follow him on social media. Now, they’re sending sympathies to Fode as he’s suffered a personal loss.
Condolences to Pierson Fode
“RIP grandpa Roy 1934-2020,” Fode posted. “A few weeks ago my grandpa passed away in his sleep in the midst of the pandemic. Just because things look incredible on the outside doesn’t mean that it’s the same on the inside. Social media only shows the highlight reel and this is a departure from that perfection.
“I wish he could’ve been around to see ‘The Man From Toronto’ [Fode’s upcoming project] but life doesn’t grant wishes,” the actor laments. “I wanted to have an open dialogue about death and dying as it’s never talked about till it’s too late. Rather than just saying ‘I’m sorry’ I hope people begin to ask what your favorite memories of someone you lost were. To help remember their life and not just the death.
“Thanks to @markdohner for helping me with this conversation,” Fode added. (Check Fode’s YouTube page to hear the interview.) “I’m grateful to have friends like you and @dericaugustine who will play Call of Duty till I fall asleep. Full conversation link in bio or go straight to my YouTube.”
“Death is something I think about daily, having experienced so much of it in my life as well,” Courtney Hope (Sally), Fode’s former BB leading lady, posted. “Thanks for opening up a dialogue surrounding it, and making it something to embrace as opposed to fear. It’s propelled my life and my relationships because I know how quickly it can all change. ❤️ Thanks for sharing the truth.
“I’m so sorry,” Hope added, “❤️ opening up is the best way to heal and spread the truest form of humanity.. thanks for sharing your soul. My heart is with you.” Soap Hub sends sincere condolences to Fode at this difficult time. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
