The Bold and the Beautiful News Update: Kimberlin Brown Gives In A Big Way

Sheila Carter, the character who crossed over from The Young and the Restless to The Bold and the Beautiful, may have been a nurse, but she did a lot of bad things! Now, her portrayer, Kimberlin Brown is doing a good deed!

Kimberlin Brown: Playing It Safe

The Emmy-nominated actress recently posted on Instagram that she was donating blood to help those in need — and she did it the safe way in 2020 while wearing a mask. “Okay everybody,” Brown began her post. “Time to go give blood. You heard how they’re in need. That’s what I’m doing today!

“My son, Nicholas, is here with me,” she added. “We’re doing our duty, and we’ll do it again in July. Have a good day!”

Brown, who was recently seen in a soap classic episode of YR in which characters attended a masquerade ball at the Colonnade Room, migrated over to BB in 1992. This was after Sheila kidnapped both her mother Molly (Marilyn Alex) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman), whose baby she stole and switched with another infant, who later died of meningitis. While holding the women hostage, Sheila shot a defenseless television set that Lauren had bought for Molly, destroying it in the process.

In one of YR’s most chilling moments, Sheila coldly suggested to Lauren that their children get together for a playdate, knowing full well that Lauren’s “baby” had died. Sheila’s wicked ways weren’t limited to icy remarks. On BB, she pushed Dr. Jay Garvin (Brett Stimely) off a balcony, kidnapped James (Ian Buchanan), poisoned Stephanie (Susan Flannery), and shot Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo).

After Sheila popped up on YR in 2005, she learned that Taylor hadn’t died of her injuries as previously believed. Later, Lauren supposedly killed Sheila, who had had plastic surgery to make herself look like Lauren’s pal Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).

Or so we thought. Sheila, once again played by Brown, showed back up on BB and found an unlikely champion (at least he was willing to give her another chance) in Eric (John McCook), her former husband. After scraping with Eric’s wife Quinn (Rena Sofer), Sheila retreated and is presumably still in town. Her most recent gig was working as a server at Il Giardino.
