Fans of Katherine Kelly Lang know that she, like her character Brooke Logan Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, is passionate about horses. Viewers saw her ride one in a recent classic re-airing and another equine moment is coming later this week. Recently, Lang lent her name to a charity that wants to help endangered animals.
Katherine Kelly Lang Needs Your Help
“Hello everyone,” Lang’s message began. “I’m Katherine Kelly Lang @katherinekellylang and I have an important message to share with you.
“Please watch the video I made for you and take action,” said Lang, adding, “60,000 wild, healthy and beautiful American Horses are brutally slaughtered each year.
“It’s time to BAN HORSE SLAUGHTER now. Truth: They’re shipped from the United States to Canada, Mexico, and Asia where they land on dinner plates around the world. Sounds CRAZY doesn’t it? Well, it’s happening now.
“That’s why I’ve joined [@horsesinourhands] to stop this complete insanity. I need 1000 or more of you to take action now! Horses have taught me important lessons about patience and unconditional love. I want to give back what they have given me. These beautiful souls need us now.
“Join me and send a message to your Legislators that killing them is wrong! It’s fast and easy… and we send the email for you. It’s guaranteed to land in their inbox!”
To send your message check out Horses in Our Hands. “Let Congress know that killing our beautiful horses MUST stop this year,” implored Lang. “They’re listening and the time to act is NOW. Let’s do this! Let’s save our beautiful horses.”
Lang is an original cast member of BB. As Brooke, she appeared in the show’s premiere episode and has remained on the program ever since, making her one of daytime’s longest-running performers.
